Between July and the end of September 2026, the BMW Group delivered 110,257 fully electric vehicles worldwide (+7.2%). This growth occurred against a backdrop of declining overall volume. Total group automobile deliveries fell 6.3% year-on-year to 551,072 units in the quarter.

Worldwide deliveries of fully electric vehicles increased 7.2% to 110,257 in Q3 2026. The group's total electrified vehicle sales, which include plug-in hybrids, saw a marginal decline of 0.3%. MINI brand sees electric growth despite overall decline

The MINI brand illustrated the broader trend of electric resilience. While its quarterly deliveries fell 2.4% to 70,712 units, its electrification rate for the year-to-date was significant. From January to September 2026, 37.2% of the 220,247 MINI vehicles sold were fully electric. The brand's 6.8% growth over that nine-month period was aided by special editions like the John Cooper Works models and the MINI Paul Smith Edition. The new MINI Countryman Untamed Edition is expected to provide further sales impetus.

Other brands within group face steeper declines

Other brands under the BMW Group umbrella experienced more pronounced downturns in the third quarter. The core BMW brand saw sales decline 6.8% year over year. The group's motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad, recorded a 12.5% drop in deliveries to 46,605 motorcycles and scooters. Luxury marque Rolls-Royce faced the sharpest decline, with sales falling 18.0% to 1,069 units.

Board member Jochen Goller said continued strong orders for electric vehicles supported the company's strategy. He noted the new BMW iX3 contributed to growth.
